Certification of Water Filter in Brazil is mandatory and regulated by Inmetro.

The Water Filter are certified by product family and the certification model can be 5 or 7.


Product family? What does it mean?

Group of Water Filters models produced in the same plant, through the same production process, manufactured with the same materials, the same refrigeration technology and with the same efficiency functions to improve water quality. The families are distinguished according to an alphanumeric nomenclature defined by only a number from 1 to 9, followed by just one letter from A to H, according to the product’s characteristics.



And what are the certification models?

It is the model that defines how the conformity assessment system of the company and its products will be carried out.

Model 5: includes the assessment and approval of the supplier’s Quality Management System through audits and tests on samples collected both in the factory and in the store.

Model 7: batch certification, which is evaluated through tests on the packaged product. This modality applies to suppliers dedicated to packaging and / or importing the commerce.
