Certification of Metallic Pans in Brazil is mandatory and regulated by Inmetro.

The Metallic Pans are certified by product family and the certification model can be 4, 5 or 7.

Product family? What does it mean?
Group of metallic pans, in 4 pre-defined groups, which have the same construction material and the same type of internal lining.

In the case of Pressure Cookers, it is the group of models with different volumetric capacities, respecting the same design, internal diameter, construction material, type of coating, type of closure and working pressure.

And what are these certification models?

It is the model that defines how the conformity assessment system of the company and its products will be carried out.

Model 4 (exclusive for Micro and Small Business): Type test followed by verification by testing samples taken from the market and the manufacturer;

Model 5: includes the evaluation and approval of the Quality Management System and the Customer Service Systematic of the supplier through audits and tests on samples that can be collected both at the factory and in the store.

Model 7: batch certification, which is evaluated through product tests and evaluation of the Customer Service System. This modality is more common for imported products.
